Hey, welcome in. Whether you’ve been running with Wild Disciple for years or this is the very first thing of mine you’ve opened, I’m glad you’re here.
Here’s what you’re holding. These are my field notes on the twenty scriptures in the Wisdom hunt: the bits of backstory and setting that sit just behind the verses, the Hebrew and Greek hiding under the English, the “wait, there’s more going on here?” stuff. Call it the director’s cut.
And here’s my one promise. I’ll tell you what’s happening behind the scenes. What it means is still yours to dig up, because the finding is the whole fun. You will not find a single answer key in here, and that’s on purpose.
Read the note after you’ve sat with the verse in the hunt, not before. The context is a whole lot more fun once you’ve already made a guess.

Let everybody wrestle a verse cold, then read the note out loud and watch the room change its mind. Every note ends with a “your move” line. Start there.

- ✶The setting. Who wrote it, when, and what was falling apart around them.
- ✶The word under the word. The Hebrew or Greek your translation had to flatten.
- ✶The thread. Where this verse quietly shows up somewhere else in Scripture.
- ✶Your move. One thing to go look at yourself. Never the answer.

I left the conclusions out on purpose. You now know the setting, the words, and the threads. What none of that does is decide anything for you, and that was always the point. Wild Disciples don’t borrow their faith. They own it.
