Who is a Wild Disciple?
About Us
Wild Disciples don't
borrow their faith.
They own it.
We make faith an adventure, not a lecture. Tools that send you looking for yourself, so what you believe is actually yours.
The problem we couldn't unsee
Walk into most any room of believers and you'll hear the right words. We can quote the verse, repeat the sermon, post the graphic. But ask why we believe it, really believe it, and a lot of us go quiet.
Somewhere along the way, faith became something we inherited instead of something we explored. Sunday leftovers. Borrowed convictions we never tested for ourselves. And a borrowed faith is a shaky place to stand when life gets hard and the easy answers run out.
What we're about
Faith was meant to be owned, not borrowed.
So we build experiences for Wild Disciples to explore the why behind what they believe, so you own it, and finding Jesus actually gets to be fun. Not a guilt trip. Not homework. An adventure with the Word at the center of it.
What we make
Our first line is Scripture Scavenger Hunts: field journals that hand you a map instead of the conclusions. You go looking through scripture yourself, asking the real questions, wrestling with the hard parts, and writing what you find in your own words. You come out the other side with a keepsake and a conviction that's truly yours.
It's self-paced, it meets you wherever you are in your faith, and you're never quizzed or graded. Just you, a Bible, and a little courage.
Go looking
You explore the Word for yourself instead of waiting to be told what it says.
Wrestle it
You sit with the tensions and the hard questions until your faith can actually hold them.
Own it
You walk away with a belief you built, in your own words, that you'd recognize on a hard Tuesday.
Where this is going
The hunts are the start. We're building toward apparel and goods that wear the mission, a digital experience that takes the adventure further, and a way for churches to build hunts around their own convictions. Picture quiet time that feels like an adventure, on your own or with friends, where you actually leave with something in your hands. That's the road we're on.
From the founder
Hi, I'm Amber. I started Wild Disciple Press because I got tired of being able to say the right Christian things without really knowing why I believed them. I had the words. I wasn't sure I had the roots.
So I started going back to the Word myself, not for a tidy answer, but to actually wrestle with it and figure out what I believed and why. It changed everything. My faith stopped being something I borrowed and started being mine.
Wild Disciple Press is me building the thing I wish I'd had: a way to go looking on purpose, and to have fun doing it. I hope it does for you what it did for me.
Amber, founder of Wild Disciple Press
Finding Jesus should be fun.
If you'd rather own your faith than borrow it, you're one of us. Come find out why you believe what you believe.
